Skip to the contentBefore counselling, I worked as a teacher, was a parent carer and then became a foster carer for young people with medical needs and disabilities. This has given me rich experience of the challenges and frustrations others may experience within medical, educational or other socio-cultural systems.
My desire to support others led me to volunteer with Mindline Somerset as a call-handler, and as a Bereavement listener with Cruse. During this time I completed a counselling diploma.
I became fully qualified and BACP-registered after completing my Master's degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of the West of England (UWE): a relational course based on Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Psychodynamic theories.

During my degree, I worked as a counsellor within charitable services and completed a BACP-affiliated CYP (Children and Young People's) certificate. My experience of parenting and education systems means I am sensitive to challenges such as school refusal, sensory overwhelm and burnout.
I have found the most rewarding parts of my career to be the relationships I have built along the way, and they are integral to my work as a counsellor. I warmly invite you to contact me or book an appointment if you feel I may be a good fit for you.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their Ethical Framework. I am fully insured, hold an enhanced DBS, and attend regular continuing professional development.
I will treat you and our work with respect and confidentiality and attend regular clinical supervision in accordance with the BACP guidelines. I am open to feedback on how you are experiencing counselling and to listening to any concerns or complaints you may have.
